The Kirkwood Business Association, also known as KBOA, was established in 2007 to promote growth, stability and profitability of the Kirkwood Business District. Kirkwood is bound on the north by DeKalb Avenue, on the south by Memorial Drive and Interstate 20, on the west by Montgomery Street, and on the east by 1st Avenue.
Kirkwood was founded in the 1870’s. Today, this historic neighborhood has three main business district areas and more than 3,000 households.
The Kirkwood Wine Stroll is the main fundraiser of the KBOA. Proceeds have been used to fund scholarships, support our local schools, clean up and maintain the downtown business district and support other local non-profits.
KBOA partners with other neighborhood organizations such as the Kirkwood Neighborhood Organization, the Coan Splash Pad Project and LantaGras to participate in other special events and fundraisers throughout the year.
The Kirkwood Wine Stroll is the main fundraiser of the KBOA. We produce this event to connect with our neighbors, raise funds for our organization’s operating fund, beautification and marketing of the Kirkwood Business Districts.
We also LOVE TO GIVE BACK!
2019 KBOA donated $1000 to 5 local nonprofits serving our community. Check out the awards
